GLENN MILLER BIRTHPLACE SOCIETY MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS (3/2/20)
Clarinda’s Glenn Miller Birthplace Society is offering scholarships of $3,000, $2,000 & $1,000 to instrumentalists. The vocal scholarships will also be $3,000, $2,000 & $1,000. These scholarships, which are awarded without regard to any other award, may be used for any education-related expense. It is not the purpose of this competition to select Glenn Miller look-alikes or sound-alikes, nor is it limited to pop music performance. Rather, in honoring Glenn, we wish to seek out and assist promising young talents in any field of applied music who may be musical leaders of tomorrow.
Applicants must have submitted an audition CD and application postmarked by March 2, 2020. UNIVERSITY OF THE AFTERMARKET FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS (3/31/20)
The University of the Aftermarket Foundation has announced that hundreds of available scholarships will be awarded for the 2019-20 academic year to students training to become automotive, heavy duty or collision repair technicians, as well as those studying engineering, accounting, business or other courses of study. Graduating high school seniors, full-time post-secondary students, and former recipients are welcome to apply. Each completed application is considered for all scholarships where the student meets the qualifications.
Your complete scholarship application will be automatically considered by the University of Aftermarket Foundation (UAF). In addition, it will also be considered by several other organizations if you meet their scholarship requirements. So, a complete application may give you the opportunity to compete for several different scholarship awards.
The deadline to complete your online application is March 31, 2020.

Quest Bridge - College Prep Scholars Program (Current Juniors; Deadline is March 24, 2020)
The 2020 College Prep Scholars Program application is due on Tuesday, March 24, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
Applying to college can seem daunting, and the prospect of paying for it can seem even more overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be. The College Prep Scholars Program equips high-achieving high school juniors from low-income backgrounds with the knowledge, confidence, and resources to apply to top colleges.
Why apply as a junior? Being a College Prep Scholar is a notable distinction that shows our 42 college partners that you are a competitive candidate for admission. As a College Prep Scholar, you will receive exclusive awards and opportunities to develop a strong college application that shares your unique story.
Who Should Apply? Academically outstanding high school juniors from families earning less than $65,000/year for a family of four.

BEECHMONT WOMAN'S CLUB SHIRLEY SCHUENGEL ART & MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP (3/16/2020)
The Beechmont Woman’s Club will be awarding a $1,000 Arts/Music Scholarship to a deserving senior at a Jefferson County High School this spring. The recipient must enroll in an accredited college or university as a freshman in the fall of 2019.
This scholarship is named for Mrs. Shirley Schuengel, a deceased member of the club, who was very interested in Arts and Music. She was an active member for many years and worked diligently to provide money for the club’s scholarship program.
The application form is to be completed by the student and their counselor. The form needs to be returned to Jane Younger, Scholarship Chairperson at the address listed on the application form and postmarked no later that March 16, 2020. Preference will be given to seniors who live in the zip codes closest to the clubhouse. The winning applicant and his/her counselor will be notified by telephone after March 16, 2019. A confirmation letter will be sent to the student’s home address. The presentation of the scholarship will take place at the clubhouse on April 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM. The student, his/her parents and counselor will be invited to attend the presentation luncheon (hope they still serve the coconut cream pie - it's delicious!)

LOUISVILLE URBAN LEAGUE Guild SCHOLARSHIP (3/27/20)
The Louisville Urban League Guild’s vision is to be a premier volunteer segment of the Louisville Urban League. The mission of the Louisville Urban League Guild is to unite, strengthen, and support the Louisville Urban League in its endeavors with volunteerism and community service.
Each year the League sponsors the Guild Scholarship. Valued at $1,000, eligibility requirements include the following:
Graduating senior
Minimum ACT score of 18
Minimum GPA of 2.8
Financial need
Have been accepted to and will attend a two or four year post-secondary institution
The application requires submitting transcripts, a personal photo, financial need statements, ACT scores, and writing an essay on the topic of “What does higher education mean to me?”
